The Dread Codex: Warlock

The lure of power is a siren call, singing to the downtrodden and oppressed, the outcast and the exiled. The dregs of society hunger for power; the power to destroy their oppressors, to take vengeance upon those who cast them out, and make a new, better place for themselves in the world. Yet those who have it are not immune to its wiles. Men of wealth and stature, already of great power, ever crave more.

The Dread Codex: Warlock introduces a new base class for the Pathfinder roleplaying Game as well as new class options, pacts and invocations, feats, new archetypes, and more!

Grip of Terror lesser invocation, does the target have to be adjacent to the warlock or is there a range for it?

And what is the damage type (bludgeoning, slashing, piercing, all of the above) and is it treated as magic for purposes of DR? and for Metablast feats the cost is listed as d6s but the blast die is determined by pact. Assuming it should be -1dx. Many of the feats make your blast useless at 3rd level (when you get the bonus feat).

My apologies - if range isn't specified, it's Close (25 feet, plus 5 feet/2 levels). Damage type is unspecified intentionally; it's just spell damage - and is therefore unaffected by DR, like any spell. The Metablast Feats have their costs listed in D6's, but yes, it just reduces the die by the number of die listed - so if your blast does 2d4 and your feat is -1d6, your blast does 1d4 damage.

Also, on the subject of making the blast useless - yes, the ones that reduce your damage by a full die would be unuseable at first/second level. But!
1. There are some that reduce damage by an amount (like minus 1 per die) and they can't reduce it below minimum damage.
2. At 3rd level, while wielding your fetish your blast is 2dx, not 1dx - and as soon as you hit 4th level that's the case even without your fetish.

It is a send-up to the 3.5 warlock, combining original elements, as well as elements from 3.5 and 4e warlocks :)

Fetishes: the paragraph on crafting additional magical properties covers wands. The wand isn't listed as a legitimate fetish. Was the wand missed as far fetish description or should the wand crafting be removed from that paragraph?
Level progression: Just wondering if making the invocations progression more straight forward (an additional invocation at every odd level) would have been better since you end up with four levels (11th, 13th, 17th, and 19th) where the only benefits the class gets is a normal feat and a hit die. While the additional feat doesn't make it a "dead" level, if the invocations had been progressed in a more linear fashion, the character would have also gained a new invocation at those levels as well.

Yeah, I originally intended to have wands as an option, but it ran into some issues - I guess I didn't catch that little sentence I left in there :P
As for the invocations, I tried that initially, but during testing we found that just wound up giving the warlock more invocations than I wanted/gave him invocations a little too early, so we found a nice middle ground I think :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
