This was great. Perfect for people who have never played Sabbat and want to give it a try. Action, thriller/horror, heist, politics... it has it all. It's not a sandbox, but it doesn't feel rail-roady (even if the author used official stuff and npcs). This has ruined official White Wolf adventures for me.

There is a reason this book has so many reviews with high praise: it's warranted.

As a long time fan of the Sabbat genre in V:tM I've had to deal with so many players who's only working knowledge were poorly run 'monsters of the week' encounters in table top and in LARP (direct quote from one: "those are the devil worshippers right?"). This adventure is easy enough to grasp for new players and old and it isn't so loaded with specific Sabbat details that the aforementioned player types would get lost. It's a solid adventure with some added support in case players veer in one direction or the other. It tackles some of the highlights of being Sabbat (monomancy, esbat, sect politics, etc) and also doesn't play into the meta gaming tropes long term players fall into such as "I'm (insert non Sabbat vampire type) so I should just murder/death/kill these guys". It gives us a look at an uneasy peace between the Anarchs and Sabbat and touches on some interaction briefly.

And being a fan of the Giovanni I'm a big fan of the fact that the writer did his homework and didn't forget/nix the Giovanni position in Las Vegas.

As a fan of both the Sabbat and Gonzo, Fear & Loathing '77 appealed to me right away. And I was not disappointed. A sharp narrative dissovles the Sabbat-Anarch connection into a cocktail of historical realism and World of Darkness intrigue then injects it into your arm like a shot of adrenochrome. Highly recommended, just dont take too much! Too much!

Nice scenario, my first purchase on this site and I'm not disappointed. Would recommend, I enjoyed the reading and will make my characters play it for sure.

I very rarely give 5 stars. It was warranted this time. I don't play Sabbat as I find the sect to be a bit irritating, however I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure setting and plot. It has threat, pursuit and action as you might expect. And it has some great antagonists. To read my full review, you can check it out on my site HERE

I have only played a Sabbat character once but THIS module makes me want to start a whole new Chronicle so I can again.

Let us get something out of the way - modules are normally railroads for Players while the Storyteller reads passages of scripture - not so here. This presents a toolbox, and lets you tell a story however you choose.

Also setting this in Los Angeles, Anarch territory, in 1977 was genius!

The reason it's not 5 stars? Formatting, formatting, formatting. This book is better than most but the text in some places is too close to the border especially when using unordered lists.

Minor gripe aside this book is great - buy now!

Thanks, Alex! I'm glad you dug it. I'll definitely look at the formatting and see what I can do to improve it (and send out an updated PDF when I have).
